Hello! My name is Patricia Barnes, and I’m so excited to share my passion for great food, culture, and history with you. My blog is dedicated to one of the most colorful gastronomic holidays – the Cuban Sandwich Festival.
It is not just an event where you can taste the best variations of this legendary dish, it is a place where traditions, music, art, and an unforgettable atmosphere intertwine.
My love affair with Cuban sandwiches began a few years ago during my first visit to the Tampa festival. Immediately after the first bite of hot, perfectly crispy bread filled with juicy pork, ham, cheese, pickles, and spicy mustard, I realized that it was more than just food.
So I decided to learn more about the history of this dish, its symbolism, and its role in the culture of the Cuban-American community.
I created this blog to show that the Cuban Sandwich Festival is more than just food. It’s the stories of the people who put their hearts and souls into each sandwich. It is a community that unites around a common love of culture and flavors. It is a place where the traditions of the past come to life in the present.
My goal is to inspire you to explore not only the gastronomic pleasures, but also the richness of the culture behind each bite.
I’m glad you’re here, and I hope my blog inspires you to attend the festival, try new flavors, and experience the magic of Cuban sandwiches. If you have any questions, ideas, or want to share your stories about the festival, please contact me!
